Kajal opts out of Mahesh's film With multiple projects in her kitty, Kajal Aggarwal, has opted out of Mahesh-Sukumar film, citing her jam-packed schedule for the next six months. An announcement regarding this is expected soon
Although she was not the first choice for director Sukumar, actress Kajal Aggarwal was roped in to romance Mahesh for the second-time after 'Businessman'.
But as the film's schedules were delayed due to multiple reasons, the 'Brindavanam' actress, the busiest girl in the south industry with more than five big projects in her kitty, has it seems said to 14 Reels Entertainment (producers of the film) that she won't be allocating anymore dates to the film, reports suggest.
It is heard that the actress has already shot for few scenes of the film said to be a psychological drama.
With a slew of big projects under production besides in consideration for cinematographer Ravi K Chandran's next 'Yaan' with actor Jiiva and another project with Akshay Kumar, Kajal had to opt out of Sukumar's movie despite the fact that she shares a great equation with him after having worked in 'Arya 2'. Add to that, adjusting her dates to the film means putting other films in jeopardy,' said a source.
This comes after she was recently criticised for delaying her Tamil films due to her Telugu commitments. Though she denied the stuff by indicating that she plans well in advance and every film of her is on track, Kajal, it appears to be, is not keen on taking a risk to face the wrath of producers, added the source.
With no options left, Sukumar who is set to start the new schedule of this yet-to-be-tilted flick from October 10 in Goa, is on the search for a suitable replacement. A formal confirmation regarding Kajal's no participation in the film is awaited from the production unit.
However, looks like Kajal, who recently wrapp ed up shooting the songs for Vijay-starrer 'Thuppaki' in abroad, predicting the future of her other films, has taken a decision in the best interest of other producers too.
