Actress Divya alleges sexual harassment Visakhapatnam: Local girl Divya, who shot to fame with her maiden appearance in 'Oka Romantic Crime Katha,' had gone missing from her house in Arilova under PM Palem station, but surprisingly surfaced in a TV channel studio. There she alleged her close relative one Raju was making sexual advances towards her.
Divya's mother Lokeswari on Thursday lodged a complaint with the PM Palem police station that her daughter had been missing from the home for last three days.
Reacting to the incident, commissioner of police J Purnachandra Rao told reporters that the police would take action as per the law and ensured safety to Divya and her mother. As Divya had been suffering from high fever, she was shifted to a corporate hospital on the Beach Road.
Meanwhile, the Circle Inspector of PM Palem Station, K Venkata Rao, said Raju has been taken into custody and being questioned on the allegations made by Divya. 'Divya did not lodge any formal complaint with us,' the Circle Inspector clarified.
Oka Romantic Crime Katha, made by Suneel Kumar Reddy, depicts the waywardness and sexual aberrations of the adolescent youth. Divya plays the role of Anjali, an intermediate student who is indiscreet in her relationships.
The protoganist gets intimate with whoever becomes friendly and nice to her and finds herself pregnant but because of her multiple flings. She can't even pinpoint who impregnated her. The film was a success and Divya soon attracted attention of the film-makers.
