'No objectionable scenes in Rambabu' Hyderabad: Putting speculations to rest that uncut version of the movie 'Camereman Gangatho Rambabu' was still being screened at several theatres in the region, the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce declared that the objectionable scenes were duly chopped on the same day (October 19) when protests erupted across the region.
UFO, Cube and PXD companies, which offer digital cinema solutions and deliver films via satellite directly to theatres, removed the 15 scenes recommended by the government and Telangana supporters.
Accordingly, the re-edited version is being screened in 190 odd theatres in the region, informed M Vijayender Reddy, president of Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce.
When questioned about the objections raised by the TRS party that uncut film is being screened for the last two days, he pointed out that Telangana supporters were not happy with the cuts.
They insisted on removal of some more scenes. After the controversy of the film, no exhibitor or theatre owner would dare to screen the original, uncut version because they could be targetted for going against the wishes of the public, Vijayender Reddy said.
