MRPS backs Brahmins against 'DR' Brahmin associations for long have been protesting against Manchu family's film 'Denikaina Ready' which contains some scenes and dailouges which showed Brahmins in bad taste.
Instead of trying to solve the problem amicably, Manchu family tried to crush the protests by adopting violent means.
As the controversy is refusing to die down, when Brahmin associations are waging a lone battle against the film, they found strong support coming from unexpected quarters. Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) organised a huge rally couple of days back in support of Brahmins in Mahaboob Nagar.
They sat on protest in front of Nartaki and Nataraj theaters in the town and later protested in front of district collectorate office. They later submitted a memorandum seeking ban on the film to the Joint Collector.
Later speaking to the media MRPS leaders said that the government should pass a legislation so that strict action can be initiated against film makers and actors when they hurt the sentiments of any religion.
He said there is a lot of awareness among public nowadays and people won't keep quiet for indecent acts of film stars.
