Charmee plays a sex worker role
Director Chandu of 'Tenth Class' fame is currently busy filming 'Prema Oka Maikam' with actress Charmaa Kaur in the lead.
The 'Mass' star is playing the role of a sex worker in the film which completed 80% of the shoot.
A musical love story according to the director, the film is currently progressing at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, where the director is canning few scenes on the lead actress and other supporting actors. Prior to this schedule, the film unit completed an outing in Goa.
Chandu said, 'The role of a sex worker holds significance on silver screen. Many actresses' like Savithri, Jayasudha, Jaya Prada, Sridevi, Tabu and Anushka in the past excelled by playing sex workers on celluloid and Charmee's role in the film will be on par with such roles. It is a story between a sex worker, lyricist and a singer.'
Also starring Rahul, Saranya, Chandramohan, Rao Ramesh, Sureka Vani, Thagubothu Ramesh in supporting roles, the film has dialogues by noted journalist Pulagam Chinnarayana. Surya Srikanth and D Venkat are producing the flick on Touring Talkies.
