HC notices to Mohan Babu
HYDERABAD: The AP High Court on Wednesday served notices to authorities of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and actorproducer M Mohan Babu in connection with the release of controversial Telugu feature f i lm 'Denikaina Ready'.
Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy was dealing with a petition by C Raghunatha Rao, a Brahmin from the city, seeking cancellation of Censor Board certification of Manchu Vishnu-starrer 'Denikaina Ready'.
The judge directed issuance of notices to the respondents who included the chairman of CBFC, Mumbai, CBFC's regional officer and presiding officer and actorproducer Mohan Babu.
The petitioner's counsel requested the court to direct the respondent-authorities to stop exhibiting the controversial movie.
