Vidya Balan to wed Siddharth It surely seems like the most auspicious wedding year for Bollywood. After Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, it's time for Vidya Balan and UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapoor to tie the matrimonial knot! December 14 it is!
They might have successfully kept their relationship a very hush-hush affair but it is definitely going to be hard maintaining secrecy about their wedding which, sources reveal, will take place on the 14th of December and that too in both the serene South Indian as well as the pompous Punjabi style.
Reveals a source close to the Balan family, "Preparations are on in full swing at both households. Close friends and relatives have been asked to block their dates from December 11 to 14." So seems like Ms. Balan will soon become Mrs. Kapoor this December.
Preparations are on
The source further added,"The sangeet and other functions will start from December 11 onwards. The guest list is still being worked out but most of her friends from the industry will be invited."
Vidya and Siddharth who were often spotted dining and vacationing together on various occasions tried hard to keep their relationship free from the piercing of wordly eyes but when the speculation got too much to deny, Vidya finally accepted her romance with the UTV CEO in an interview to a newspaper in May earlier this year.
Since then rumors were flying like jet planes regarding the couple's impending wedding though both of them kept saying that a wedding will not make an entry into their respective busy calendars any time soon.
South Indian style or Punjabi style?
However, now that the wedding has found a way to squeeze itself into their alliance and present them with a life of matrimony, we wonder if the ceremonies will be Tamilian style or Punjabi since the love birds belong to two completely different cultures. Doesn't it have
Chetan Bhagat's 'Two States' ring to it?
According to the same source who revealed the wedding date, the confusion has been pestering the Balan family too. Says the source, "She is a Tamilian and he is a Punjabi, so a number of functions have been planned keeping the South Indian and Punjabi culture in mind.
While details are still being worked out, they will have a South Indian style wedding and either a Punjabi style wedding after that or a reception."
