I-T sleuths raid TV, film stars
HYDERABAD: The Income Tax department officials carried out searches in the houses of Tollywood comedian Brahmanandam and some TV anchors. However, sources said the raids did not yield much results.
According to sources, besides Brahmanandam, the IT officials raided the homes of Jhansi, Udayabhanu and Suma. The searches that began in the morning went on till night.
'They have not been filing their IT returns properly and they are showing minimum income due to which we decided to search their premises,' sources said.
