'D for Dopidi' logo launched The logo of Varun Sandesh and Sundeep Kishan starrer 'D for Dopidi' was unveiled by ace director Sukumar at Prasad Preview theatre in Hyderabad.
The grand gala event also witnessed acclaimed directors Deva Katta, Krish Jagarlamudi and producer Ashwini Dutt.
Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, who directed critically acclaimed movies 'Shor in the city', '99' and 'flavour' in Hindi, are producing this film under D2R Films banner. Siraj Kalla, who worked as an associate director for 'Shor..', is directing this film.
Melanie plays the lady lead role in this film. Said to be a comedy with a crime backdrop, 'Dobbadanika'Dobbinchukodanika' is the caption. Director Deva Katta plays a significant cop role as ACP Krishnamachari.
The cast includes Tanikella Bharani, Hema, Prithvi, 'Pavala' Shyamala and others. Mahesh Shankar has composed the music. Lukas cranks the camera.
Speaking at the event, director Sukumar said, 'I've seen 'Shor in the city' film and was quite impressed with the work of Raj and Krishna. I'm glad the duo is foraying into Telugu filmdom.
I hope their first film will recreate the magic.' Deva Katta said, 'Raj and Krish are good friends of mine. I couldn't turn down the role they offered me. The story was exciting and hilarious.
I hope this role will bring laurels to me.' Sundeep Kishan said, 'After watching rushes of 'Prasthanam', Raj and Krish have offered me a role in 'Shor in the city'.
In one way the duo is my mentors. They took care of me when I was in Mumbai. They've again gave me a good role in this film. I'm looking forward for its release.'
