Actor booked for drunken driving HYDERABAD: Yet another Tollywood personality, this time a little-known actor, was caught driving his vehicle in an inebriated condition by the city traffic police on Saturday night.
Banjara Hills traffic police, who were conducting a special drive against drunken driving, intercepted a Ford Ikon car at MLAs Colony around 11.30 pm and found its driver in a drunken state.
The man in question was found to be a small-time actor, Dinesh. In the breath analyser test, his blood alcohol content showed as 34 mg/100 ml which is above the permissible limits. Police registered a case against him and seized the vehicle.
Dinesh, who acted in supporting roles in Jallu, Adhineta and Vandemataram, was asked to attend a counselling session at the Traffic Training Institute and appear in court after which the vehicle will be released.
Another actor Akaash and a woman were sitting in the rear seat. Police said the actors were returning home after attending a party at Film Nagar.
Banjara Hills traffic police registered 16 drunken driving cases on Saturday night and seized the vehicles.
