Ram Charan felt happy for Pawan's presence Ram Charan breaks his silence
Discounting reports of a 'wedge' in the 'mega family', actor Pawan Kalyan cut short his Spain trip to grace the audio launch of Ram Charan-Kajal starrer 'Nayak' at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad.
Pawan launched the CD and gave the first copy to Sureskha Chiranjeevi. The grand event witnessed who's who of Tollywood, including members of the 'Mega' family.
Chiranjeevi, who was in Delhi then, couldn't make it to the event, but shared his feelings through a special video conference. Of course, Pawan Kalyan was the cynosure of all eyes at the do.
Speaking at the launch, Ram Charan said: 'Thaman has given racy tunes for this film. Its first of its kind. A music director competed with me with his tunes, while I shook my legs in tune with the songs.
Director Vinayak is like my Dad's younger brother. If my dad were to have a younger brother, he would have looked like VV Vinayak. He has treated me with extreme love and affection. I'm indebted to him and want to work with him again and again.'
Refuting media reports that suggested schism in the family due to perceived differences among 'mega' brothers Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, Charan said: 'I'm glad that Babayi (Pawan Kalyan) has graced this function. He might not attend the audio release of my next film, which doesn't mean there are differences in our family. There'll be umpteen reasons for missing a function, which has nothing to do with our relations.
We know our bonds. Our fans do know it. No one can break our relation which has been there for 35 years. Audio launch functions are not a scale to measure our family bonding.'
Loosing cool, Charan lashed out at a media report and said, 'One paper and one TV Channel can't break our bondage. Babayi and I know the reason for his absence at 'Racha' audio launch.
The very next day, Babayi telephoned me and asked me to stay mum. If media writes such stories, they are just worth a strand of my hair.'
Charan turned nostalgic and said, 'Babay is next to my dad. He always stands by me and takes care of our family issues in the absence of dad. I won't spare anyone who speaks ill about my Babayi.'
Pawan Kalyan, who is a man of few words, said, 'I'm at a loss for words. I'm enjoying Charan's dances and acting. I hope this film will do well and will entertain you.'
VV Vinayak said: 'I saw Chiru in Charan. Nayak is an out-and-out commercial entertainer. We shot a few songs of the film in Iceland. I'll make a film with Pawan Kalyan soon.
I'm also eagerly waiting for that film. Akula Shiva has given a good story and penned good dialogues for the film. SS Thaman has done about 40 tunes for this film, of which I've chosen six.'
Chiranjeevi heaped praises on his darling son Charan. He said, 'Charan has formulated his trend to remixes Bangarukodipetta, Vana Vana, Subhalekha, Charan's moves are exceptionally good.
I'm spotting myself in Charan while watching his dances. Director VV Vinayak, who helms the project, is Nayak off the screen.'
Anand Sai is the art director. Chandrabose, Sahithi, Bhaskara Bhatla have written the lyrics. Stunts Shiva, Fights Kamal Kannan
Amala Paul, 'VV Vinayak is a dynamic director, Charan and Kajal are nice costars.'
SS Rajamouli, Srinu Vaitla, Boyapati Sreenu, Vamsi Paidipalli and others were present. 'Mega' family, including Chiru's wife Surekha, younger daughter Sreeja, daughter-in-law Upasana Kamineni, brother- in-law Allu Aravind, niece Allu Arjun and others were among those present.
