Students to design costumes for Allari Naresh
Vijayawada: Five students of Samana Institute of Fashion Technology here have been selected as costume designers for the upcoming Telugu film 'Kevvu Keka' being directed by prominent director Devi Prasad.
The students have to design costumes for Allari Naresh, the hero of the film, the heroine and other actors. This is for first time that the students of fashion technology from the city have bagged an assignment from the film world.
The five students had to compete with designers from Mumbai and Bengaluru to secure the contract. The students and their parents expressed happiness at the selection. The correspondent of the Institute, Samana, expressed happiness over the selection of the students of the Institute.
Earlier, Valeswara Rao of Yax 'n' Yax tailors of Vijayawada had designed costumes for N T Rama Rao in such blockbuster films as Adavi Ramudu. He was credited with designing of bell bottom trousers for NTR, which caught the fancy of the youth in those days.
