RGV's daughter gets engaged
It was in 'Vodka With Varma', a book on Ram Gopal Varma, which spilled the beans about Ramu's attachment with his 20 plus-year-old daughter Revathy, a medico.
Revathy, who was brought up by her mother Ratna after her parents separated from each other, in the book mentioned that she will be happy if her father discharges the regular responsibilities of a father, especially related to her marriage.
Staying true to her daughter's wish, the director, like a doting father was spotted discharging daddy's duties at the engagement to Pranav, also a doctor, in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The event took place at Hotel Raddison Blu Plaza in the city.
The guests and celebrities who attended the event were in for a major shock after witnessing Varma, who is known to be against the very institution of marriage, greeting them. Director SS Rajamouli who is known to share a close equation with RGV was one among such guests who was visibly taken by a surprise.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, he tweeted, 'Had the pleasure/previlage of watching @RGVzoomin playing a dutiful father at revathi's reception.
What a sight!!!! Ha ha ha ha, he (sic).' Although Rajamouli got confused engagement with the reception, his humourous words say it all. The marriage is expected to take place in August.
