Ram's energy amazes Bhaskar Actor Ram's last flick 'Endhukante Premanta' might have failed to set the box-office on fire, but the young hero is pinning high hopes on his next flick 'Ongole Gitta', which he terms it as his first full-fledged commercial entertainer.
He was speaking at the audio release of the film at Annapurna Seven Acres, Hyderabad. Said Ram, 'I was astonished to see Bommarillu Bhasker making a pot boiler like 'Ongole Gitta'. I just went by his vision.'
The audio, not the regular for a noted hero, was simply conducted on the set of a film that was erected for a song. GV Prakash has composed the soundtrack of the film.
Maverick director SS Rajamouli, the chief guest of the evening, besides launching the trailer, also unveiled the audio and handed over the first copy to producer BVSN Prasad.
The 'Eega' maker appreciated the efforts of the team of 'Ongole Gitta' for having shot at a place like Guntur mirchi yard. He recalled his days of shooting a small action sequence in 'Vikramarkudu' where he uses red chillies.
'It's very strenuous to shoot even small portions with chillies around, but I was told that the unit of 'Ongole Gitta' had shot for 21 days on a stretch at Guntur mirchi yard,' he said.
Bhasker who is known for his out-of-the-box themes said that he penned a story which will appeal to everyone. He said, 'The film came out very well.
Mani Sharma has composed for a single track besides associating with the re-recording of the film.' Heaping praise on his lead actor, he said, 'I doubt whether a real Ongole breed of oxen will have the same energy as Ram does.'
Actress Kriti Karbhanda who came in as a third replacement after the first two heroines made an exit from the project said that she will be seen in a substantial role in the film. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore, Kona Venkat, Ali, Vanamali and Bhaskarabatla Ravi Kumar were also spotted at the do.
With the likes of Prakash Raj, Prabhu and Jayaprakash Reddy, the film is set for an early February release. BVSN Prasad has produced the film.
