Shriya's Pavithra' almost completes
Janardhan Maharshi's directorial venture 'Pavithra', which features sultry siren Shriya Saran in the titular role, is nearing completion. Except for two songs, the rest of the film is wrapped up and the songs will be shot in February.
With lead actors Shriya, Kaushik, Sai Kumar, the caption of the film is 'A bold and gold film'.
Janardhan Maharshi, who has penned dialogues for blockbuster 'Eega', turned into director last year with K Vishwanath-SP Balasubramanyam starrer 'Devasthanam' and received applause from all corners.
Tipped to be a women-centric film, Shriya plays the role of a sex-worker. According to sources close to the director, Shriya's role in the film is bold.
After 'Samanyudu' and 'Prasthanam', Sai Kumar will be seen as a politician in this film. Maharshi says that film is compilation of incidents that he read over period of time.
'It's a sincere and honest attempt though it will be presented in a bold manner.' AVS, Roja, Shivaji, Chintu play pivotal roles. K Sadhak Kumar and G Maheshwara Reddy are producing the film. MM Srilekha is scoring the music for the film. The movie is expected to release in March.
