Priyamani as 'Chandi'
With Priyamani in the lead role, 'Chandi', was officially launched at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad.
Veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao, who was the chief guest of the muhurat, sounded the clap board for the first shot directed by actor Sunil on Priyamani while another veteran Ramanaidu switched on the camera.
Directed by V Samudra, the film, a Srinubabu production, will be shot on a stretch from this month before it releases in May. Said to be a revenge drama set against the backdrop of SEZs (Special Economic Zone), it is another women-centric film for Priyamani who plays title role.
Posani Krishnamurali and Nagendra Babu are playing significant roles in the film.
