Mirchi song moves Anushka Actress Anushka Shetty, who played leading lady in 'Mirchi', said she broke into tears listening to the song Pandagala digivachavu'pranalaku velugichavu song from 'Mirchi' which was penned by lyricist Rama Jogayya Sastry. She was speaking at the success meet of the film on Monday in Hyderabad.
The 'Arundhati' star, casually dressed in a white salwar minus grease paint said she liked the lyrics of all the songs from the film.
Heaping praises on the lyricist, she even recalled that he had written Bommali'Bommali song for her film 'Billa' which eventually was a super hit.
Handsome hunk Prabhas looked jubilant and delighted. Preparing for his next outing, 'Baahubali', the actor admitted that he was the cause for the increase in the cost of production for 'Mirchi'.
'I asked producers and the director to spend lavishly to ensure the movie looks grand. Later, I also requested them to control budget which was gently turned down by friends (producers). At the end, we're delighted with the result of the film.'
The film is said to have been made at a budget of Rs 30 crore. It raked in Rs 7.86 crore on its opening day worldwide, making it the biggest opening ever for Prabhas.
Prabhas added, 'Siva is visually good and can pen stories of any genre. I liked the romantic scenes in the flick and even asked him to prepare a love story up next for me. Coming to Anushka, she is bangaram (gold). She understands everybody and brings calmness to the sets.'
Debutant director Koratala Siva thanked audience for making 'Mirchi' a blockbuster. Heroine Richa Gangopadhyay said, ''Mirchi' is like my comeback film. After 'Mirapakay', I'm happy that I'm back to winning ways in Tollywood.'
Producers Vamsi, Pramod, Dil Raju, lyricist Rama Jogayya Sastry, art director Prakash were also present at the event.
