IT sleuths grillBandla Ganesh
Hyderabad: Income Tax (IT) officials on Tuesday completed questioning of producer Bandla Ganesh and searches at his residence and offices.
The searches began Monday after the IT officials reportedly observed discrepancies between the returns filed and the income earned by Ganesh. Sources said incriminating documents were found during the searches.
The IT officials summoned Ganesh to their office at Aayakar Bhavan in Basheerbagh where he was questioned for more than two hours on various aspects.
The producer was mainly questioned on the discrepancies between the returns and the income earned with his recent production 'Gabbar Singh', sources said.
Sources also said that the IT officials collected a whopping Rs 1 crore towards advance tax and directed Ganesh to clear the tax dues by March.
Ganesh is currently producing 'Baadshah' with Junior NTR and 'Iddarammayilatho' with Allu Arjun.
Both the films are nearing completion, while other projects with Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan and Prabhas were also in the pipeline.
