Mahesh Babu's son to make his debut
It was bound to happen. Gautam Krishna Ghattamaneni,7, had to make a filmi debut sooner than later, especially with a lineage like grand dad Superstar Krishna, dad Mahesh, mom and ex-Miss India Namrata Shirodkar.
Naturally, it did not take long for director Sukumar, going by the sources, to convince Mahesh and his son for a role in his new directorial venture produced by 14 Reels Entertainment.
Mahesh has been a child actor since he was four. Did Gautam show the same interest in posing for the camera? "Gautam is thrilled to see me on screen, almost the way any child feels thrilled watching his dad or mom on TV.
In fact, I haven't shown too many of my movies and I was not sure it would be appropriate for his viewing. Recently I screened 'Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalli Chettu' for him and he was mightily pleased seeing the Araduguluntada song picturised on me. But beyond that, I have never heard him expressing his desire to be on the silver screen,' Mahesh told The Hans India.
However, with director Sukumar prevailing upon the actor to cast Gautam for the role of young Mahesh, his debut is almost but on the verge of happening. The director is known to have child phases in his films.
Meanwhile, the cast and crew of this untitled venture will next head to London for a major schedule of the film which will take place for 40 days. Debutante Kriti Sanon is paired alongside 'Dookudu' star.
