Mahesh's film on his birthday
Mahesh Babu's yet-to-be-titled film with new age director Sukumar will release on the actor's birthday- August 9. 14 Reels, the production house, is keen on cashing in on the mentioned date as it falls on a Friday.
'The film has been in the production for nearly a year and the producers, Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara, who never spoke about the release date till now, are chalking out plans to release the film on the stars birthday, but everything will boil down to the London schedule,' said a source.
If indeed the film goes according to the plan, then it will be the first time that Mahesh's film will release on his birthday. However, like with Mahesh's earlier films, the first teaser of the film is expected to be out on his dad's birthday- May 31.
The film, on the lines of a psychological thriller, with Mahesh's never-before look, sees newcomer Kriti Sanon opposite him. She plays a journalist in the film which also hosts familiar faces like Sayaji Shinde, Kelly Dorjee and Srinivasa Reddy in supporting roles. Devi Sri Prasad is composing music while Sukumar's favourite, Ratnavelu is handling the cinematography.
