Teja did not know swimming
Teja and 15 others, who went to Rishikesh to attend a Yoga conference, went to the Neem beach, near Lakshman Jhula, for swimming not paying heed the 'danger zone' signboard.
While the others were swimming, Teja drowned in the river. His parents told the Muni Ki Reti police, who are investigating the case, that Teja was not good at swimming. Three teams are conducting the search operation.
Teja received Nandi award for best performance as a child artiste in the Chiranjeevi-starrer Indra. He started his career as a child artiste in the Mahesh Babu-starrer Murari. He also acted in Sri Ramadasu and Chhatrapati.
