Dasari slams 'grand' audio events Thespian Dasari Narayanarao, who was the chief guest at the platinum disc function of Varun Sandesh-starrer 'Priyathama Nee Vachata Kusalama', slammed grand gala audio launches.
He said, 'Audio launch events these days have turned into recording dances and carnivals. I pledge not to attend such audio launch events hereafter. I'll go only if they are organised in a simple and systematic way.'
das3Talking about the film 'Priayathama Nee Vachata Kusalama', Dasari said, 'After watching the promo and trailers of the film, I recalled 'Majnu' days. I was told by director Trinadh, the film, indeed, was inspired from 'Majnu'.
Films with love story backdrop have a place in the history of box-office success. 'Premaabhishekham', 'Majnu', 'Swayamvaram' and Gorintaku' ran successfully and crossed 175 days.'
Pointing out to heroes in Telugu film industry, he added, 'Most of our heroes assume that they are stars just after securing a single hit and evade small producers.
I came to know that Varun Sandesh doesn't belong to such category. Stars are crowd pullers, but the film's success depends on the whole team. I wish heroes will be in a space to reach out to small producers.'
The veteran director also criticised lyricists by saying that 'literary values' of the lyrics of songs in recent times have comedown drastically.
He said, 'Though we have good writers here, they are not given subjects that have scope to enlighten our literature. Our filmmakers fail to utilise them in a right way.'
Actress Haasika of 'Bus Stop' fame plays the female lead in the film. Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Rao Ramesh, producer Sambasiva Rao, lyricists Bhaskara Bhatla, Krishna Chaitanya and others were also present at the event.
