Ravi Teja to play Lord Krishna
Superstar Ravi Teja, who is reeling under consecutive flops, in all likelihood is set to play Lord Sri Krishna in the Telugu remake of last year's Bollywood super hit 'Oh! My God'.
The original, a social satire, had Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. It was directed by Umesh Shukla.
Currently, producers who are keen to shell out money for the Telugu version are in talks with Akshay Kumar's production company for the remake rights. Once everything is sorted out, an announcement regarding the same is expected.
Veteran writers Paruchuri Brothers are handed over the mantle to re-rewrite the script for the native audience. It remains to be seen who will step into the shoes of Paresh Rawal and helm the Telugu version.
Meanwhile, Ravi Teja is currently busy wrapping up 'Balupu'. It is in the last phase of production. Producer Prasad V Potluri is gunning for a summer release.
