Anjali calls her mom, says she is fne Hyderabad: Southern actress Anjali's missing case took a curious turn with her brother Ravi Shankar coming forward on Wednesday to withdraw the case. He informed the police that the actress was safe somewhere.
Ravi Shankar lodged a complaint with the Jubilee Hills police stating that Anjali was facing threat to her life from her aunt Bharti Devi and a Tamil producer.
The actress had reportedly called her mother over phone saying she was safe and she would surface two days later. She was also said to have requested her family members to withdraw the complaint lodged with Jubilee Hills police.
Police told the complainant that they would not go by the phone call purported to have been made by the actress. They made it clear that they need to see her physically and explain the court concerned that the missing person indeed returned home safely for closing the case.
Police continued their investigations by collecting the phone call data of the actress. Sources said she made as many as 18 calls in just two hours on Wednesday morning.
The investigators were trying to find her whereabouts with the help of tower location of her mobile phone, sources said.
