Tapsee on cloud nine Taapsee is on cloud nine these days and why not. After all, her debut film in Hindi, Chashme Buddoor has been declared as a box-office hit and she has got fairly good reviews for her performance in the film.
Directed by David Dhawan, the film also had Ali Zafar, Siddharth and Divyendu Sharma in lead roles. 'I waited for a long time because I wanted to make my debut in Bollywood with a top director and a good script.
When I was offered the lead role in Chashme Buddoor, I simply lapped it up without even thinking twice and I am a big fan of both David Dhawan and the original film.
I am thrilled that Chashme Buddoor has turned out to be a hit. I'm on cloud nine both literally and figuratively,' Taapsee gushes, as she talks about her entry in Bollywood.
Prior to the film's release, she had confessed that she was indeed in talks with few other filmmakers in Bollywood. 'I didn't want to sign any film as I wanted to see how Chashme Buddoor does at the box office,' she says.
Now that the film is a hit, when is she going to announce her next film? 'I am not in a hurry to sign films just because my debut film is a hit.
Moreover, I have to complete my current assignments and I can't commit to any new project till June this year,' she clarifies.
Currently, Taapsee is shooting for Chandrasekhar Yeleti's upcoming film Sahasam near Athirapally waterfalls in Kerala and after this the film unit will head to New Delhi to shoot another song.
Taapsee is paired up with Gopichand in this action adventure film. Apart from this film, she'll soon be seen in Shadow, Vishnuvardhan's upcoming Tamil film and Muni 3.
