Charmee eyes challenging roles While Charmee's career has been on a downward spiral of late, the actress after hitting the gym, seems to be in a happy space. Celebrating her birthday today, the fit and lean Charmee re-collected her birthday being celebrated amidst media galore.
'It was during 'Gowri' shooting nine years ago that I cut my birthday cake amongst media. It was a memorable experience and the film went on to become a hit. I expect my new film, 'Prema Oka Maikam' to follow the same track,' she said.
The actress is happy with the way women have embraced the audio and is hoping that her character too will be received positively. 'I play Mallika, a high class call girl.
It's for the first time I'm playing such a bold role. Audiences have always supportive of me and I wish to take up more such bold roles in the future,' she asserted.
Speaking about the film, she said, 'It's a sequence of events between a call girl, singer and a writer. In total, it's a meaningful romantic musical love story. The feedback for the promos till now has been over-whelming. We are releasing the film on June 7.'
Immediately after her briefing, a cake was arranged to celebrate her birthday in advance. While she initially expressed apprehensions about cutting the cake, she couldn't resist yelling after seeing the chocolate cake.
