Nagarjuna vouches for Chaitanya While Naga Chaitanya hopes that his latest release Thadaka may change his fortune in Tollywood, his father Nagarjuna seems to be proud papa.
'Thadaka is a thrilling action sequence and in fact reminds me of my movie Shiva. This movie was a perfect balance between the two actors (Chaitanya and Sunil).'
The movie which released a week after Nag's romantic entertainer Greeku Veerudu, is the Tamil remake of Vettai which follows the story of two brothers. Besides Chaitanya and Sunil essaying the brothers, actresses Tammanah and Andrea Jeremiah essay the female leads.
Acknowledging that his son has indeed improved from when he first entered the industry, he says, 'Failure is the key factor for success, and that has been the same with Chaitanya. I've seen him work hard for this film. It also worked in his favour that the film played on the brother-sentiment.'
The actor however was quick to add that the antagonist, Ashutosh Rana's role was also one of the highlights of the film. Both father and son will be seen together in the family production titled Manam which will star all three of the Akkineni's ' Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Chaitanya.
Talking about the film, the 53 year-old says, 'It is a laugh riot and the movie is absolutely magical. It may release by the end of this year.'
In the meantime, Nagarjuna's mafia-based Bhai and Chaitanya's Autonagar Surya, an unusual love story of an auto driver and a city girl (played by Samantha) will the hit screens soon.
