Come with a script: Allu Aravind After his maiden venture 'Gauravam' failed to set the box-office on fire, actor Sirish, son of producer Allu Aravind, has shifted focus to his new film, 'Kotha Janta'. The film had its muhurat on Thursday in Hyderabad. Union Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi sounded the clapboard for the first shot while D Ramanaidu switched on the camera.
Ace producer Allu Aravind who is presenting the film on Geetha Arts said that his association with director Maruthi, who is helming the project, dates back to the past 15 years. 'He used to stay with Bunny in our home. He narrated 'Kotha Janta' script prior to the release of 'Gauravam'.
He understands the pulse of audience and he is aware of the strengths of Sirish,' he said and added, 'If youth approach Geetha Arts with interesting subjects, we are ready to make their films. It is not necessary that the hero should be from the mega compound. We are open to collaborating with any actor.'
Sirish expressed his happiness of working with the home banner. 'Except for dad, all other team members are under the age of 35. It's a youthful flick. I know Maruthi since my schooldays and I've never expected to star in his film. Commercially the film will give me a break.'
Maruthi termed the film as a love story between two selfish individuals. 'It is a subject that is close to the life of Sirish. I will present a new Sirish,' he said.
The regular shoot of the film will begin from June 20. Regina is paired opposite Sirish in the flick which will be produced by Bunny Vasu. JB will compose tunes.
