A Friday can make or break them. Few actors have managed to reconcile to the fact that their time is over and have faded from public memory and lead quiet lives in hill stations or settle abroad. But others wilt under pressure and throw in the towel. Here is a list of few actors who threw it all away, some at the peak of their careers.
JIAH KHAN 1988 2013 Actress Nafisa Khan popularly known as Jiah Khan committed suicide at her Juhu resi dence recently. The 25-year-old actor is learnt to have hung herself inside the house.
Jiah was brought up in England and had shifted to Mumbai with her mother Rabiya recently. 'She had been depressed for some time due to personal issues, but was keen on returning to acting soon. She was also meeting filmmakers regarding projects,' sources close to the actress said.
Jiah made her debut opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma's Nishabd. She also acted opposite Aamir Khan in Ghajini and Akshay Kumar in Houseful. It is said that she was unhappy as she was not getting enough roles.
Southern actress Vijayalakshmi, popularly known as Silk Smitha, committed suicide by consuming poison in 1996. Silk Smitha was trying her luck by turning producer after a successful stint in front of the camera by acting in over 450 films for 17 years.
Things did not fall in place for her and she took the drastic step. Failed romance, depression and alcoholism were the other reasons cited for her premature death. The life story of yesteryear actress was well narrated in the movie `Dirty Picture' in 2011.
Bollywood has in the past witnessed some shocking tragedies including the death of young and vivacious Divya Bharti at the age of 19 in 1993, after she allegedly fell off the fifth floor of a building.
Mystery still shrouds her death and it remains unclear whether she was pushed to death or she was inebriated and lost her balance. Divya Bharti had made an impact in Bollywood in her brief career with films like Vishwatma, Shola Aur Shabnam and Deewana and others.

She committed suicide by consuming sleeping pills along with her boyfriend Siddharth Reddy (who survived at hospital).
Prathyusha's Mom alleges that her daughter was raped and killed and fighting the case ever since. The sad part here is that she has films aplenty in her kitty.
After the release of 'Premikula Roju' (Telugu), Kunal Singh became heart throb in not one but three industries as his film was dubbed in Hindi too. Sadly, the industry has seen very less of him in subsequent projects.

Apparently Paris 'flipped out' and screamed at the relative who stopped her seeing the goth rocker, and it is claimed she then locked herself in her bedroom and cut her arm before leaving a note and ringing a suicide hotline.
