`Potugaadu' teaser unveiled Actor Manchu Manoj who is battling continuous flops is all geared up to change his fortunes with `Potugaadu', an action-entertainer.
Directed by Kannada filmmaker Pawan Wadeyar, the film, an L Sridhar and Sirish production, had its teaser unveiled on Sunday in Hyderabad.
Noted Tamil director Linguswamy was the chief guest of the event which was also attended by Manchu Vishnu, Lakshmi Manchu, and director Maruthi besides the films crew.
Sridhar who is back to production after Sri Hari and Uday Kiran-starrer `Viyyalavari Kayyalu' said that the film is inching towards completion.
'Manoj inherited the discipline of his father and we are reaping in the benefits as we are almost through the films shooting,' he smiled.
Linguswamy who has flown down to Hyderabad from Chennai to attend the event heaped praise on Manoj.
'I was told that he is full of energy and can do stunts on his own. The teaser is an example of it,' he said and added, 'After watching my Tamil film `Run', Mohan Babu garu asked me to do a film with Vishnu but somehow things didn't go according to plan.'
Manoj said that Sridhar came to him with too many offers but he has chosen `Potugaadu' in the end. 'He asked me to watch the Kannada version of the flick. I liked it and said that I will work in the remake if he brings on board the same director. And within no time, he roped him. We made necessary changes for the Telugu version,' he said.
Co-starring Sakshi Chaudhary, Simran Kaur, Rachel Weis and Anu Priya opposite Manor, the film's audio, composed by Chakri and Acchu, will release shortly.
