Rajamouli tweets about Baahubali For the first time ever, filmmaker SS Rajamouli who has been closely guarded about his magnum opus `Baahubali,' has opened up about the film and revealed interesting tidbits about how it will be shot and when it will go on sets.
In the news ever since the maker has announced it more than six months ago, the film will finally take off on July 6, the same day that witnessed `Eega' spreading its wings all across AP and TN a year ago. `Raring to go if rain permits', said Rajamouli by taking to social networking site Twitter.
The `Magadheera' maker also reacted sharply on the rumours that producer Shobu Yarlagadda will be spending Rs 10 crore for a three-day shoot. 'Heard about 10 crore set for 3 day shoot. False news again.. @Shobu_ garu is spending lavishly, but not foolishly (sic),' he tweeted. He said that the first schedule which will last for a week will be taking place in and around Hyderabad.
Contrary to the news that he is toying with the idea of exploring IMAX cameras for the period drama, that is `Baahubali', he said that he will shoot the film completely in Arri Alexa XT, a high-end digital camera.
He shot `Eega' partially in digital cameras. He also hinted that there are only six IMAX cameras and that there is heavy competition for them.
The maker also suggested that he is not a big fan of 3D and that very few screens across AP have facilities which screen 3D flicks. 'It is cumbersome & restrictive to shoot with the rig,' he tweeted further.
To be shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil and later dubbed into Hindi and Malayalam, the film which sees Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati in the lead roles, will also be dubbed into other foreign languages, according to Jakkanna, as Rajamouli is fondly called.
The lead cast has extensively indulged in sword fighting and horse riding for the past four months. MM Keeravani will compose music for the flick, touted to be the biggest budget Telugu flick till date.
