Writer Vamsi's story wows NTR
Writer Vakkantam Vamsi who is associated with penning stories like `Kick', `Oosaravelli' and the soon-to-release `Yevadu', is teaming up with superstar NTR for his directorial debut. The writer who is gung-ho about the project, says that the actor has asked him to come up with a script two and half years ago.
'He always felt that I would make a great director. At first, I wrote a story line which he didn't like. Then I followed it up with an other but this time I was not convinced. Finally I managed to convince him with another line,' he reveals and adds, 'After liking it, he referred me to producer Dil Raju who too was bowled over it. I'm privileged to get a top hero and the best producer for my very first project. I will start the project whenever NTR asks me to.'
Terming the flick as an `action drama with a wonderful soul', he says that there's more work that needs to be done. 'One and half hour story is almost over. It needs a bit more polishing and fine tuning.'
He exudes confidence when he says that he will present NTR in a new way. I'm working on his look right now. Since he commands a huge fan following, I have to take care of his fans' expectations apart from ensuring the content is conveyed, the way it has to be, with the new look. Since it is my debut as a director, I'm keen to have my signature all over it.'
While he has two top notch leading ladies on mind for the lead heroine, he is buying time for the rest of the cast and crew. 'We have time to go on sets. Maybe within a month and half I will be in a position to reveal details of the heroine and the technical cast,' he shares.
While he has also penned Allu Arjun-starrer `Race Gurram' which commenced its European schedule a fortnight ago, he is excited about Ram Charan-starrer `Yevadu'. 'It's an action thriller and will 'It's an action thriller and be a novel experience for Telugu audience. Told in a gripping way, I can as sure the audience that it will be bereft of any dull moments.'
