Lady luck smiles on Gopichand
Admitting that the lady luck was on his side, newly wed Gopichand who has been through a lean phase career-wise, with his last hit being `Golimaar' three years ago, said that his wife Reshma liked `Sahasam'. 'She hasn't said anything in specific but she liked it immensely,' he stated.
Speaking at the success meet of the film in Hyderabad on Thursday evening, he said that he had his apprehensions over the film. 'It was a different film for Telugu audience hence I had my worries but everyone around us were eager for me and for the film to turn into a hit.
It is the biggest budget film in my career and the revenues too are bigger,' he said and added, 'The said and added, 'The biggest compliment is that many people felt it was like a Hollywood film.'
He said that five aspects are very crucial for any film. 'Production, direction, cinematography, art direction and music play significant roles in the success of a film and I'm very glad that everything fell in place for our film. Though we exceeded the budget, producer BSVN Prasad always stood with the script.'
When quizzed about shooting for the film he said that the action sequences were shot under extreme conditions. 'We've shot major se quences for the film at Ladakh where the Oxygen levels were very low,' he said.
Leading lady Taapsee said that she was desperate to work with Chandrasekhar Yeleti. 'I've said the same to Gopi too and luckily Yeleti roped me the film.
It's my first ever solo hit in three years. Irrespective of what others had to say, Prasad garu and Yeleti garu, kept me in the film,' she informed.
