Political unrest a cause of worry to Pawan Even as `Attarintiki Daredi' posters dot the State's landscape announcing its August 7 release, producer BVSN Prasad, director Trivikram and the actor Pawan Kalyan are a worried bunch as their film could be under attack with the latest development on Telangana.
While the situation is expected to worsen, Tollywood too is closely monitoring the develop ment of the year's most anticipated flick, `Attar intiki Daaredhi'. Will it indeed make it to the screens on the intended date of August 7 despite the unrest in the State?
Says a source from the production unit, 'Producer Prasad is keen to surge ahead with the global release on the announced date, but he is also aware of what transpired with Pawan's last film, 'Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu', which drew severe flak from Telangana region over its content.
He is praying that, though his film has no objectionable content, the same is not repeated, from Seemandhra region, this time around as huge money is on stake. He wishes that politics and films are not mixed.
As of now, he is playing the waiting game with bated breath. The film is completed and is expected to go for a certification on August 2.'
Incidentally, the production house had tasted back-to-back setbacks with movies such as 'Devudu Chesina Manushulu' and 'Ongole Gitta' and 'Attarintiki Daaredi's success will boost him financially.
The source also tells us that there are chances that some sections of people will use the film and Pawan Kalyan's name to draw the mileage and take their movement against the State bifurcation forward.
'Nobody including Kalyan garu can do anything as it boils down to how things are going to shape up in a couple of days. The think tank of the film will take the final call in the next three days whether or not to release the film on the scheduled date,' he added.
It will indeed be interesting to watch the developments as Pawan, unlike his elder brother Chiranjeevi, has not taken any stand on United Andhra or Telangana!
