'Toofan' to release on Sept 6 While it is confirmed that `Yevadu' will be releasing on August 21, a day before Chiru's birthday, Charan's other flick, `Toofan', after witnessing too many delays in the past, has confirmed its berth for September 6.
A statement from the production house on Thursday said that the film is currently in post-production and that it will indeed release on Sept 6, in both Hindi (as `Zanjeer') and Telugu, worldwide.
Ram Charan enacts the role of ACP Vijay Khanna who battles against oil mafia in Mumbai in the flick. Also starring Sri Hari, Prakash Raj, and Priyanka Chopra in significant roles, the film is helmed by Apoorva Lakhia.
`Chintakayala Ravi' fame director Yogi has supervised the works for `Toofan'. Vamsi Krishna, the other being C Venkatrav, said the film is meeting the budget. 'We are currently in post production. We are planning to release the audio next week and the film in late August,' he said.
Venkata Suresh who is directing the flick said that he hasn't assisted anyone prior to get the flick. 'As soon as I narrated the script, the producers have supported me to the core. It is being made to entertain everyone,' he said.
Also starring Posani Krishna Murali, Sayaji Shinde, Krishna Bhagawan and Jogi Brothers in supporting roles, the film has music by Sai Kartheek.
