Varma tweets about Pawan's padayatra It's been some time since filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's tweets made headlines. He seems to have discovered a new found interest on the medium all over again. His tweets are anything to go by, he's certainly back with a bang.
Known for his sarcasm and wit on the social networking platform, Varma, in a rather surprising move, chose to shower praise on a star who's none other than the toast of Tollywood, Pawan Kalyan.
He started off by tweeting that the actor will be the most dynamic among all actor-turned-leaders right from MGR to Chiranjeevi, if he indeed floats a party. He said, 'I never voted in my life but I will stand in line and vote for Pawan Kalyan.'
He compared Pawan's charisma to Bal Thackeray. 'Not since Bal Thackeray did I see such intensity and charishma. Commitment in his eyes and honesty in thoughts is what makes Pawan Kalyan.'
Taking a jibe at YSR party leader Sharmila's padayatra, Varma tweeted, 'If just Sharmila's walk can evoke so many followers imagine what Pawan Kalyan's walk can do. It will create historical history.
Just let Pawan Kalyan announce padayatra and every padayatra ever in history will be forgotten', he tweeted and added, 'With the response to Pawan Kalyan's padayatra my prediction is that it will remind people of Mahatma Gandhi's padayatra.'
He added further, 'I strongly believe that if Pawan Kalyan headed Praja Rajyam Party it would have won with a thumping majority.'
Well, whether he speaks or chooses not to, the reticent actor who played a significant role in the election campaign of PRP which later merged into Congress is always in the news.
It remains to be seen if the actor, known for his charity (Rs 25 lakh to Uttarakhand flood most recently), will take the political plunge by floating a new party or will go the Rajinikanth way? But wait, there isn't any smoke without fire, right?
