Toofan faces rough weather Entire Tollywood is eagerly awaiting the release of Ram Charan's Toofan, the Telugu version of Zanjeer on September 6. For a change, the interest is not directed at the box office outcome of Zanjeer but on how the makers are going to release the film.
It is a known fact that Samaikhyandhra protestors have issued a warning that they are not going to allow the release of films starring members of Chiranjeevi's family. On the other hand, the producers are doggedly going ahead with their release plans for September 6.
Big ticket films Attarintiki Daredi starring Pawan Kalyan and another film of Ram Charan Yevadu have already been postponed owing to the disturbances in the Seemandhra region.
If all goes well with Toofan, it would provide the much needed impetus for these films to go ahead with their release as well. However, should the Seemandhra protestors prove to be successful in thwarting the release of Toofan, then these films would have to wait until the political crisis in the state ends.
The film marks the debut of Ram Charan in Bollywood. It is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and is said to be releasing in 320 screens in the Nizam region alone.
