Kajal turns down Rs 1.5 crore offer
Kajal Agarwal has decided to concentrate on Bollywood and for this purpose has stopped signing Telugu films. But it came as a surprise to the industry when she reportedly turned down an offer of Rs 1.5 crore to act opposite Balakrishna in his new film being produced by 14 Reels Entertainment.
While it is understandable on Kajal's part to turn down offers in the South for a career in Bollywood, giving up such lucrative offers in an established market for an uncertain future in a new industry is indeed a foolhardy measure, feel some industry sources. It is also bound to affect her goodwill.
There are others who feel that the actress quoted such an astronomical sum just to escape from the project and didn't really expect the producers to give in to her demand.
Whatever be her reasons, it is a fact that the actress is indeed losing ground to the likes of Tammanah and Samantha who are being far more judicious in the choice of their films.
