Nag compliments Charan on Toofan At a time when big ticket movies are struggling to get a theatrical release owing to the ongoing political agitations, Ram Charan went ahead with the release of Toofan, the Telugu version of Zanjeer, his Bollywood debut.
Of late the family of Chiranjeevi has come in for much criticism from various political bodies and associations in the state courtesy of his stance on the contentious state bifurcation issue and Toofan had to bear the brunt of the agitators until its release.
Notwithstanding the requests of the mega family not to mix politics with cinema, there seems to be no letup in the prevalent hostilities. In this context, the support of Nagarjuna has come as a silver lining to Ram Charan.
Nagarjuna apparently called up Ram Charan and complimented him on the latter's decision to go ahead with the release of Toofan in the state.
Nag reportedly said that there was no point in delaying the release of films indefinitely and said it was a bold and good decision on the part of Ram Charan. He said that Ram Charan had set an example to other big films in the state and that they should take the cue from him.
