Ileana gung-ho on PPNH
Ileana D'Cruz, the Goan beauty who had a dream debut in Bollywood with the success of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Barfi is looking to continue her success run with her second film Phata Poster Nikla Hero (PPNH).
Paired opposite Shahid Kapoor, Ileana plays the role of a self-appointed social worker Kajol in PPNH. The movie directed by Raj Kumar Santoshi is all set to release on September 20.
Speaking about the film, Ileana said that although there are a lot of action episodes, the movie does have its moments of romance, comedy and drama.
"On-screen chemistry has really worked for me and Shahid, as it is a fresh pairing. Shahid is playing such a wonderful role. He has got this chocolate boy kind of an image, but I think it has really worked for our film. He is playing different shades of everything," Ileana said.
Produced by Ramesh Taurani of Tips Music Films, PPNH features Shahid Kapoor in the role of Vishwas Rao, an aspiring actor who is mistaken for a super cop.
Ileana plays his love interest in the film which has music by Pritam and cinematography by Ravi Yadav. Salman Khan has made a guest appearance in the movie whereas Nargis Fakhri makes a special appearance in an item song.
