IT raid on RGV'S office
Ram Gopal Varma, nowadays known more for his controversies than his movies, has reportedly landed himself in a big soup after officials from the Income Tax department raided his office in Mumbai.
His new banners Dream Force Productions and Dream Force Enterprise have apparently not yet been registered with the Tax authorities. It is obligatory on the part of every filmmaker to pay the service tax on the movies they make.
So, a list of movies produced by RGV from 2010 is being looked at for any possible violations. Any penalization would come about only in the eventuality of any irregularities being found.
It has been quite a while since the maverick film director has had a box office success to his name. His last notable success was the first part of Rakhta Charitra in Telugu, which had Vivek Oberoi and Surya in the lead roles. RGV is currently awaiting the release of his Satya 2, starring Sharwanand.
