Its Pawan vs NTR Jr
The producers of Attarintiki Daredi have confirmed October 9 as the release date of the much awaited film. Normally, that would not have generated any discussion unless you take into account the fact that Ramayya Vastavayya has been scheduled for an October 10 release.
This is the first instance in recent times that two big films would be clashing at the box office. Usually, big films in the industry play it safe by having a gap of at least one week between releases.
That way, not only would it ensure that the movies have access to the maximum number of screens available, it would also not impinge on their respective market shares.
Both Attarintiki Daredi and Ramayya Vastavayya have already been postponed once on account of the ongoing agitations in the state. The producers are now intent on going ahead with the releases as any further delays would seriously affect the investment in the films.
Attarintiki Daredi starring Pawan Kalyan and Samantha is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by BVSN Prasad whereas Ramayya Vastavayya, starring NTR Jr, Samantha and Shruti Haasan is directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Dil Raju.
So it remains to be seen as to who would emerge winner in this clash of the titans at the box office. Already the release dates have sparked off a frenzy among all Pawan Kalyan and NTR Jr fans.
