ANR springs a surprise in Manam
On the account of Akkineni Nageswara Rao's 90th birthday today, the first look of `Manam' was released by actor-son Nagarjuna, who is also producing the movie under Annapurna Studios.
The multi-starrer featuring three generations of Akkineni family is currently in its third schedule. Vikram Kumar of 'Ishq' fame is directing the flick.
Superstar Nag said that it will be a prestigious film on his banner. 'Working with dad and Chaitanya is altogether a different experience,' he said.
Vikram said that with the blessings of ANR, he is canning the film. 'Like the first look, the film too will be different from other films. He is 90-years-old but he is the most energetic guy on sets. He is also ensuring that the atmosphere is healthy.'
Vikram added that the film is a wholesome entertainer laced with a love story. 'It will create a new trend in Tollywood history.' To be wrapped up by November, the film which sees Shriya and Samantha as the lead heroines, also hosts the likes of Brahmanandam, Tanikella Bharani, MS Narayana and Posani Krishna Murali in supporting roles. Anoop Rubens is rendering tunes for the film.
