Attarintiki Daaredhi is talk of B town With the Pawan Kalyan-starrer ranking among the top three Indian grossers in the US, it is truly a winner, said BVSN Prasad, the beleaguered producer who breathed a sigh of relief during the success meet of the movie
Speaking at the success meet of `Attarintiki Daaredhi' (AD) on Tuesday, producer BVSN Prasad attributed the success of the film to the Telugus across the world.
'Though the pirated versions of the film were available in the open, they made it a point to watch the film on the silver screen. They proved that good wins over the evil,' he said.
Accompanied by his team Kota Sreenivas Rao, Ali, Raghu Babu, Amrutham Sivan narayana, Amitand technicians writer Sai and cameraman Prasad Murella, an emotional Prasad, in a choked voice, pointed out that both actor Pawan Kalyan and director Trivikram stood by him when he was going through a tough time due to online piracy. 'If not for them, I wouldn't have faced the media.'
He stated that the film will emerge as an industry hit. 'As of now, it ranked three among the top Indian grossers in the US. Bollywood has been discussing about `AD'.
We are planning to organise a grand thanks meet in Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad, on Sunday,' he shared. Although he failed to divulge whether or not Pawan Kalyan will attend it, reliable sources hinted that the actor will attend and thank the audience and fans for not encouraging piracy.
Heaping praise on Pawan and Trivikram, Kota said, 'The climax, especially the last ten minutes of the film, prove Pawan's unparallel talent. Trivikram's writing skills reminded us of the likes of Sri Sri, Atreya, Kosaraju and Jandhyala.'
About his character Sidappa, he said, 'I've mouthed many accents with ease in the past, but Trivikram made me utter Chittoor accent in the film. It took 30 minutes for me to get my lines correctly.' Actor Ali who played a key role in the film revealed that Pawan laid great emphasis on the climax.
'With Trivikram's help, he ensured that assistants and other technicians were not around the sets when he was shooting for the climax. Immediately after the sequence was okayed, he apologised to the crew,' he said.
Ali also cautioned fans not to resort to black marketing of tickets.
'One fan purchased all the tickets and sold them for a fancy prize for people who wanted to catch the film at the earliest. He made a neat Rs 8 lakh for one show. I request people not to resort to such steps,' he said.
Raghubabu said the film proves the stamina of Pawan Kalyan while Sivannarayana said the actor is not just a star, but also a great actor.
