Naga Babu as Cherry's Dad
Nagendra Babu has now replaced actor Krishna, in Krishna Vamsi's multi-starrer which is set to get underway on Dassera. Starring Ram Charan and Venkatesh in the lead roles, Krishna Vamsi was keen on Krishna essaying the role of father to Ram Charan.
Yet, the actor politely backed out citing health issues, leaving the director with no other option but to revert to the original choice of Nagendra Babu.
Nagendra Babu and Ram Charan had earlier shared screen space in Orange, which was produced by the former and turned out to be a box-office disaster.
Perhaps, this weighed heavily in the mind of the director who decided to approach Krishna after having initially finalized Nagendra Babu.
Personally, both Krishna Vamsi and Naga Babu share a god equation and the latter did play a prominent role in Krishna Vamsi's last box-office hit, Chandamama.
