Pawan sees Conspiracy behind Piracy Speaking his heart out at the suc cess meet of his latest release `At tarintiki Daaredhi' in Hyderabad, Power Star Pawan Kalyan, who generally steers clear of such meets, set the cat among the pigeons with his sensational warnings and declarations against people responsible for the online piracy of his big budget movie which released more than two weeks ago.
With his director friend Trivikram next to him, he said that the online piracy of the film was due to some vested in terests. 'It was not piracy, it was conspiracy. Industry insiders (big shots) were the main heads behind the leak. Although my fans refrained from downloading the pirated content, people within the industry downloaded it and had the audacity to speak to us about the film. I question their commonsense,' he said.
In a lengthy speech that lasted for 35 minutes, he warned the of fenders who resorted to the cow ardly act. 'Irrespective of your stature, I will ensure that you meet the consequences. Just because the film proved to because the film proved to be a profitable venture, I'm not the one who will forget the whole episode.'
He thanked his fans for their unflinching support during the crisis time. 'I was in Goa for `Gabbar Singh 2' sittings when Trivikram rang me up and briefed the whole fiasco. I had no words to respond. I came down to Hyderabad immediately. The film Hyderabad immediately.
The film was the hard work of Trivikram who worked on the script for three years. Producer Prasad invested Rs 60 crore. But I was sure that you (fans) would always be by my side. Both Trivikram and I believed the film and you've supported us to the core,' the reticent star said. Much to the delight of the packed Shilpakala Vedika, he stated that fans are his power and he can give his life to them.
