Drinking to success
A drinking session in a Tollywood movie traditionally figured the baddies gathered together plotting some evil. Slowly, it has given way to becoming an instrumental part of the comedy track of a film.
Director Srinu Vaitla courtesy of his movies Aanandam, Dhee and Dubai Seenu may be credited with bringing about this change. Even Tollywood comedian MS Narayana has figured in umpteen movies as a drunkard.
Now director Vikram Kumar has apparently cashed in on the same formula for the Akkineni family starrer Manam. The unit of Manam has recently shot such a scene featuring Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaithanya in a lighter vein.
Confirming the same, Nagarjuna has expressed satisfaction at the way the shot has come out. He expressed his confidence that the scene would receive a good response from the audiences and credited Vikram Kumar with doing a good job.
