Varna audio released amidst fanfare
Anushka starrer Varna had its audio launch with a grand gala event. There was a huge turnout of Anushka's fans for the event. The trailers and video songs of the film were played on the stage and this was followed by performances from Rachana Mourya, Aksha and Nikitha Narayana for old Telugu songs.
Apart from Anushka, Arya, director Sri Raghava, music director Harris Jayaraj and producer Prasad V Potluri, several celebrities like Dil Raju, Vamsi Paidipalli, Nandini Reddy, Gopichand Malineni, Srikanth Addala, Bandla Ganesh, etc, attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Sri Raghava admitted that the film would not have shaped up without the backing of Prasad V Potluri. He confessed that Anushka was more like his sister.
'She is more than my chelli,' he said to a huge applause. He urged people not to ape Hollywood and call our industries Tollywood, Bollywood, Sandalwood and Kollywood. 'Our industries should be refereed as the Telugu Film Industry, Tamil Film Industry, Kannada Film Industry, etc,' he added.
Anushka revealed that the real heroes behind Varna are the director Sri Raghava, producer PVP and music director Haaris Jayaraj. She also praised Arya for his efforts. 'The whole team pampered me and the working experience with them is most memorable. The film will give you all a new experience,' she said.
Producer Prasad V Potluri was all praise for his team, 'We are making films to entertain the audiences. Sri Raghava has come up with a subject that will appeal to all sections of the audiences. The visual effects, direction, Arya and Anushka's performances and music are perfect for Varna.'
