Baahubali teaser a copycat's work? Rajamouli's Magnum opus `Baahubali' which is currently in the making is touted to be the most expensive film of Telugu cinema. Recently, on Prabhas' birthday, Rajamouli and his unit unveiled the `making of the film' video which got more than 1 million hits on YouTube.
Rajamouli even comple mented his team for their efforts through Twitter. However, allegations started when people found a similar English video on the internet which had the same style and execution. Everyone felt the makers have merely copied everything from the English trailer of `The Amazing Videohivers'.
Producer Shobhu Yarlagadda denied all the allegations and took to Twitter and explained: 'we purchased the rights to video template which was used in the teaser. The template fits our concept and so v licensed it for making teaser. Creativity includes the ability to use licensed content to make the right impact' (sic).
It was revealed that the filmmaker has used Adobe After Effects CS5 which has a customisable template which was bought by the producers and used it which is not illegal.
Now that the `Baahubali' team has cleared the allegations, one would hope it will resume its shooting smoothly. This epic drama is scheduled to release in 2015.
