Dil Raju rescues Satya 2
In what has come as a shot in the arm to the makers of Satya 2, top producer and distributor, Dil Raju has taken the distribution rights to the movie in Andhra Pradesh.
Of late, Ram Gopal Varma's films have been performing very poorly at the box office and it was rumored that there were no takers for Satya 2.
Starring Sharwanand and Anaika Soti in the lead roles, the movie, as usual with Ramu's films deals with the mafia and how the protagonist resurrects it. Dil Raju of late has been experiencing a bad run.
His latest production Ramayya Vasthavayya has flopped and another big ticket movie of his Yevadu has not seen the light of day yet, even though it was completed a long time ago.
He is one person whose films have been affected by the political turmoil in the state. Against this backdrop, insiders say that Dil Raju is now backing small films once again to regain lost ground.
He has recently picked up the distribution rights to Varun Sandesh-Sundeep Kishan starrer, D for Dopidi. Close on its heels now comes Satya 2. It now remains to be seen whether small films can do the trick for him. Satya 2 releases on November 8.
